Australia is one of the most innovative winemaking countries in the world. We challenge traditions and adopt innovations in growing and making wine more rapidly and more widely than many other countries, and with a proud tradition of sustainable management of vineyards and wineries.
Launched in July 2019, Sustainable Winegrowing Australia is a relatively young program that draws on the strengths of its predecessor programs, including Entwine Australia and Sustainable Australia Winegrowing (SAW). It acknowledges the contributions of many individuals and organisations dedicated to promoting and progressing the sustainable production of Australian grapes and wine.
Browse through the sustainability timeline, contributing individuals and organisations, and the list of useful references to see those who’ve made substantial contributions to Australia’s sustainability story for wine. Contact us if there are others who should be recognised here.
